Apostle Addresses Snow College Commencement

Elder Jeffrey R. Holland, a member of the Quorum of the Twelve Apostles of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, addressed Snow College graduates in Ephraim, Utah, over the weekend.

Elder Holland told graduates that although they face tough economic times, they should turn to "the permanent things, the reliable things: truth and industry and love. Family and friends. Humility and sacrifice and faith."

In addition to being past president at Brigham Young University, Elder Holland is a graduate of Dixie State College, Brigham Young University and Yale University.

Snow is a public junior college located in rural eastern Utah. It was named in honor of early Church leaders Lorenzo and Erastus Snow in 1932 and today has a student body of 4,400.
