    From Pro Golfer to Missionary

    The challenges for professional golfer Bruce Summerhays are not on the golf course now. They include being available 24/7 trying to inspire and guide young men and women as missionaries for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.

    President Summerhays, as he is addressed by his missionaries, is in the first year of serving a three-year mission with his wife, Carolyn, in Tampa, Florida. He is one of several Church leaders worldwide who oversee missions and the proselyting activities of their missionaries.

    He presents his busy life and thoughts in a new YouTube video, which appears on the Church’s new Mormon.org website and is one of several that profiles Mormons from all walks of life.
